Google raises the page rank of webpages on the basis of a complex algorithm that I can’t begin to explain.

One thing that helps get page ranks higher are backlinks from other websites. Not just any backlinks, though. If I go on Fiverr.com and buy 4,000 backlinks for $5.00 it won’t do squat.

But…if you put a real backlink on your page linking back to here Google will probably look at it and say “Looks real to me”. If enough people do that the page rank will start to climb. If it climbs high enough I’ll turn up on the first page of Google when people search for stuff like “politics”, or “democracy” or “That’s Just Stupid”.

I might actually have a chance with that last one.
